Discover your brain’s incredible potential at the Amazing Brain Science Talks

A free and all-ages educational event by McGill’s Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives

Montreal, QC – Ever wondered how your brain and heart work together, or how to keep them healthy? Discover the science behind it at the Amazing Brain Science Talks: a free, all-ages event that brings cutting-edge brain research to life!

Held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Grande Bibliothèque (BaNQ) in Montreal, this event brings together leading brain health experts and speakers with lived experience for a series of engaging, TED-style talks that make innovative research accessible and relevant to everyday life. Topics include ALS and patient advocacy, aging and healthy sexuality, the brain-heart connection, concussion recovery and more.

Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions directly to experts during interactive Q&A sessions and to meet McGill students showcasing their neuroscience research during a lively poster session and reception.

“The Amazing Brain Science Talks aim to make brain health research accessible to everyone, regardless of their background in science,” explains HBHL CEO and Managing Director Krystle van Hoof. “By bridging the gap between academia and the public, our goal is to empower people with knowledge that can help them improve their brain health and overall well-being.”

Whether you’re a student, a caregiver, a lifelong learner or simply curious about the mind, this event offers an inspiring glimpse into the science shaping our health’s future.

This event is presented by McGill University’s Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL), Brain Canada and Ottawa University’s Brain-Heart Interconnectome
